There is alwasy a choice...
by: Anonymous

One thing I learnt many years ago is that we always have a choice. Sometimes the choices aren't necessarily provide us with our ideal outcome, but we never get to any place in our lives without making those choices.
You seem like a very giving person, and perhaps the reason you have chosen the things that are in your life right now are related to that part of your character. Maybe its time now to give back to yourself, and maybe the trick to achieving this is identifying the rewards in doing so.
We all do things because of some type of reward, even negative things reward us. We tend to think that only positive things reward us but thats not necessarily true. If we are angry at someone, we stay in that space because, at some level, we get something out of being angry. The same is true of being
So, start looking at the things in your life and explore the rewards you are getting from them, positive and negative. Then look at what you want in your life and identify the rewards you will get some them. Does chosing some more positive things in your life mean you will be losing some of the rewards from the negative things? Can you identify some tangible rewards from changing your life now, or is it easier to stay where you are?

Here are some tips.. =)
by: Hanan Al Muhairi

Dear Joseph,

You are doing great so far. At least you know that you want to change your life to a more of a positive one.

Its me .. Hanan Al Muhairi, am 25 years old and I am from the United Arab Emirates. I just finished my masters and I feel happier now..

Anyways.. I just want to list you some steps in which can help in your life..

First of all you should create a plan of your "Wheel of Life" ..

you can create this plan whether by microsoft word or if you like to use the traditional way you can easily put your plan on a hard copy dairy..

So Then you should divide your life into:
1.Spiritual Aspect:
2.Mental Aspect:
3.Social Aspect:
4.Physical Aspect:
5.Sport Aspect:
6.Self Development Aspect:
7.Educational Aspect:
8.Business Management Side:
10.Activities Side:

After that in each item you should identify the following and you put them as lists:
Positive Elements:
-.....
-....
-....
Negative Elements:
-....
-....
Weak Elements:
-.....
-....
Missing Elements:
-....
-....
-...

After Idenfiting the elements above for each area .. then you have to design a developmental plan for each area for example..
you should create a table with three coloumns ... 1- daily plan 2- weekly plan 3- monthly plan..

Then by doing that you will be working of your weaknesses and you will overcome whatever you are going through in life =)..

Best Regards

one thing at a time.

right down your most important goals. do not think about how you will accomplish them, just right them down. then under that right all the passionate reasons why you really really want that goal.

next, under that, right all you are giving up by not following through on this goal.

if this does not get you inspired, your goals are to weak, make them so important it gets you right out of bed in the morning because you want them sooooo bad!

then, right some steps to finishing your goal. it does not have to be huge steps, anything!! call someone, research at library or internet, go for a walk, make a list, etc. if you have the "want' and good enough "reasons", the how takes care of itself.

good luck...and review your goals daily!! thats what i'll do right now :)

Give yourself credit for what you have achieved
by: Anonymous

It is never too late but reading your comment made me say that you are already a success in at least one area of your life already! How wonderful that you would sacrifice to take care of your nephew to such a degree! I know people who wouldn't do that.

I would say start small. You don't need to go to a lot of seminars, read books etc to be successful. Even this site has a lot of information. Pick one thing and do it. Just do it. Don't make any excuses. Don't think about it. Just do it. Do it everyday for 30 days and see what happens.
